More than Communication. Whether it is a team meeting or a presentation in front of an audience, we all have to speak in public, from time to time. The way you speak is the impression that people will form about you. Would you like to be the person that can give an exceptional talk, with confidence, that will leave a lasting impact on everyone who hears you? At VoiceOut our mission is to help you Get Heard by increasing your levels of self esteem.
The course will be held for 2 hours twice a month. The course is patterned after the TOASTMASTERS sessions, which includes speech giving, impromptu talks and constructive feed back. Each session is entirely interactive. After the course has been completed, students are issued a certificate by the Toastmaster "Youth Leadership Program." The course is now under the alias of "Gavel Club"
My name is Dhanu Rajwani. I am an alumnus of Loreto College, Kolkata, with a BA (Bachelor of Arts), majoring in English. I am a very active member of Plateau Toastmasters, which is affiliated to Toastmasters International. In my Toastmasters club, I have won numerous awards. I have been on the panel of judges, several times, for inter-school, primary and secondary, inter-college and University level speech contests, organised by ICAC. As of 2016, I have started the VoiceOut program to be able to help kids become leaders of tomorrow.
This year we had 18 students that have completed the VoiceOut Program. We had our first award ceremony on the 1st of December, 2016. The award ceremony was actually a demonstration in which the students were able to show the parents their highly improved skills in articulation, body language, and communication. All students were able to successfully voice out, and for that they desereve a hearty congratulations!
On the podium, our President was calling the names of the attendees of the Youth Leadership Programme [YLP] under Dhanu Rajwani's High Performance Leadership [HPL] project. I see proud parents and even grand parents as the children walk in turn to take their certificate. I need say that I am proud of this TI programme which is of another level, grassroots level, where children learn to conquer their fear of not just public speaking but of the public itself for some, overcome their shyness and become the adults of tomorrow so cheers for this programme.Leena Lollbeeharry, member of Plateau Toastmasters
